Here’s how to make Mobile Check Deposits and set up Direct Deposit

Deposit paper checks²

Endorse the back of the check and write "For deposit only at Bank of America."

Take a picture of the front and back of the endorsed check.

Note: You'll be able to print and save a copy of the check.

Select the account to receive the deposit, enter the amount and tap Next.

After confirming the details, tap Submit — you’ll receive confirmation that the deposit is processing.

Paper checks deposited through mobile, ATM or in person may be subject to a hold. Learn more about your electronic payment options to avoid potential check deposit holds and get your money faster.

Set up direct deposit

Note: You’ll need the log-in credentials for your employer or payroll provider to enroll.

Scroll down to the Account Management section and tap Set up Direct Deposit.

Note: If there isn't a direct deposit option, unfortunately your account isn't eligible at this time.

Select the box for the account(s) you'd like to receive the direct deposit and tap Next.

Tap Get Started.

Find and select your Employer or Payroll Provider name.

Review the terms and conditions and tap Accept.

You’ll be redirected to a third-party site to complete enrollment. Follow the on-screen prompts — you’ll receive confirmation.

Set up direct deposit

Deposits can be split between multiple accounts. Select the box for the account(s) you'd like to receive the direct deposit and enter the percentage.

Enter the Employer or Payroll Provider name.

Click Download PDF to open the printable form you'll need.

Log in to the Mobile app and ask Erica, your virtual financial assistant, how to make Mobile Check Deposits or how to set up direct deposit.³
