Sending a transfer
To send a wire transfer, first you’ll need to add the recipient. If they’re already added, skip to the “Make a transfer” instructions. For ACH, please proceed to Online Banking instructions.
Note: You must be enrolled in Secured Transfer. If you aren’t enrolled, have your debit card & PIN ready.
Add a new wire transfer recipient
- Log in to the Mobile app, select Pay & Transfer > Wire > Start a wire.
- Tap Add new recipient and select recipient’s country. Follow on-screen prompts.
- For Domestic, provide recipient and account details.
- For International, provide recipient details such as: country, currency, bank identifier (e.g., SWIFT code) and account identifier (e.g., account number, IBAN, CLABE).
- Tap Add then read and acknowledge the Beware of possible scam message — you’ll receive confirmation.
Make a wire transfer
- Log in to the Mobile app, go to Pay & Transfer > Wire > Start a wire.
- Select recipient, account and amount. An international wire will require Purpose of payment.
Note: Use Instructions for recipient bank to provide other requested details (e.g. invoice number, loan number, etc.). We may need additional verification to authorize payment amount. - Scroll to review wire details, confirm and tap Send — you’ll receive confirmation.
Receiving a transfer
To receive a transfer, you’ll need to provide the sender with your information, including the:
- Account holder name on the receiving account
- Account number receiving the funds
- Routing number
- For domestic, to find your routing number, log in, select your account and then select Account & routing numbers at the top of the page.
- For international, provide the Bank of America SWIFT/BIC code:
- Wire received in U.S. dollars (or if you’re not sure) – SWIFT code: BOFAUS3N, Bank of America, N.A., 222 Broadway, New York, NY 10038
- Wire received in foreign currency – SWIFT code: BOFAUS6S, Bank of America, N.A., 555 California St., San Francisco, CA 94104
An incoming wire received by the business day cutoff of 5 p.m. Eastern will post to the client's account the same business day. If received after 5 p.m., the wire will post on the next business day.

Note: You must be enrolled in Secured Transfer or have a registered USB Security Key to submit a transfer. If you’re not already enrolled in Secured Transfer, please have your debit card & PIN ready.
Add a new recipient
- Log in to Online Banking, select Pay & Transfer > Wire/ACH (U.S. or international) > Add account/recipient.
- Select either Domestic or International.
- For Domestic, select the account type then provide recipient account details.
- For International, provide recipient details such as: country, currency, bank identifier (e.g., SWIFT code,) and account identifier (e.g. account number, IBAN, CLABE).
- Verify your identity, then select Add Account — you’ll receive confirmation.
Make a transfer
- Log in to Online Banking, select Pay & Transfer then Wire/ACH.
- From the Make Transfer tab, complete the From and To account fields.
- Complete required fields and select Continue Transfer. We may need additional verification to authorize payment amount.
Note: Use Description for recipient bank to provide other requested details (e.g. invoice number, loan number, brokerage account details, etc.).
