If your home has been impacted by a natural disaster and you need to make an insurance claim, here's what you can do:
- Contact your insurance company as soon as possible to file a homeowner’s insurance claim or ask any questions you may have about your coverage.
- Typically, an estimate for the repairs to restore your home will be needed.
- Your insurance company may have an insurance adjustor evaluate the damage and subsequently offer you a settlement amount for your losses, expenses and damages, depending on your coverages(s). You may wish to seek expert guidance in evaluating any settlement offers from your insurance company.
- You may receive an insurance check payable to you and Bank of America. Unfortunately, checks that are made out to us can’t be deposited through our Mobile Banking app.1
Don't worry — we'll be glad to help you through the property claims process. We can be reached at 800-669-6076 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern.
