Get started

Open the Bank of America® Mobile Banking app. Sign in and tap "Transfer | Zelle®," and then follow the on-screen instructions.

You can also add the Bank of America widget to your home screen to link straight to your contacts, giving you fast, direct access to send and request money.

No matter where they bank, you'll know if your friends and family are already using Zelle® - just look for the purple z next to their contact.

To send money:

  1. Tap the QR code icon next to the search bar to open your device’s camera.
  2. Scan their QR code to easily get the contact information without having to manually enter it. Confirm and send.

Plus, you can also share your unique QR code if someone is paying you back with Zelle®. It’s easy.

  3. Enter the amount and select your funding account.

Important information about trending payment scams

  • We will never call to ask you to send money using Zelle® to yourself or anyone else.
  • We will never contact you via phone or text to ask for a security code.
  • If anyone reaches out to you and asks you to send money or provide a code, it is likely a scam. Bank of America will not do this.
