Step 2 — Deposit New Money¹

Deposit New Money¹ directly into your new or existing personal savings account within 30 days of enrolling (the "Deposit Period") to be eligible for a cash bonus tier.

Step 3 — Maintain that balance

Maintain that balance in your savings account from 31 through 90 days after enrollment (the "Maintenance Period") to earn your cash bonus. If the balance in your account drops below $20,000 during the Maintenance Period, you will no longer be eligible for a cash bonus.

After you've met all requirements, we will attempt to deposit the earned bonus directly into your savings account within 60 days.

Maintain a daily balance in that personal savings account that meets the applicable Balance Requirement (see Bonus Chart) during the Maintenance Period. The “Maintenance Period” begins thirty-one (31) days after you enroll and ends ninety (90) days after you enroll.

During the Maintenance Period, if your daily balance drops below the minimum of the Balance Requirement listed for a corresponding Cash Bonus Tier, you will no longer be eligible for that Cash Bonus Tier, but may be eligible for a lower tier (as applicable, based on the lowest daily balance during the Maintenance Period). If your daily balance drops below $20,000, you will no longer be eligible for a cash bonus.

After you satisfy all of the requirements, we will attempt to deposit the earned bonus directly into the personal savings account within sixty (60) days. The personal savings account must be open and in good standing up to and including the date any earned bonus is paid. You will only receive one cash bonus, corresponding to the highest Cash Bonus Tier for which you qualify.

Your receipt of any bonus is subject to validation that you have provided all the information we require in connection with maintaining the account. This includes information needed to identify each account owner and to report the bonus to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), including a validly completed IRS Form W-9 or Form W-8 (as applicable). The value of this bonus may constitute taxable income to you. To the extent required by law, Bank of America may withhold tax or other amounts from the payment. Bank of America may issue an IRS Form 1099 (or other appropriate form) to you that reflects the value of such bonus. Important Information: As of May 19, 2025, or a later date we may provide you notice of, the Preferred Rewards Diamond and Diamond Honors tiers will be consolidated into a single tier called the Diamond Honors tier. The balance requirement for the new Diamond Honors tier after that date will be a three-month combined average balance of $1,000,000. Bank of America Private Bank clients with a Bank of America eligible personal checking account will qualify for the new Diamond Honors tier. If you are enrolled in the Diamond or Diamond Honors tier on that date, your membership in Preferred Rewards will be automatically set at the new Diamond Honors tier. No action is required of you. Your benefits will generally remain unchanged or in some cases enhanced, however for home equity line of credit (HELOC) applications received after the consolidation date the rate discount will be the rate discount of the current Diamond tier.

Preferred Rewards Program Eligibility. You can enroll, and maintain your membership, in the Bank of America Preferred Rewards® program if you have an active, eligible personal checking account with Bank of America® and maintain the balance required for one of the balance tiers. The balance tiers are $20,000 for the Gold tier, $50,000 for the Platinum tier, $100,000 for the Platinum Honors tier, $1,000,000 for the Diamond tier and $10,000,000 for the Diamond Honors tier. Balances include your combined, qualifying Bank of America deposit accounts (such as checking, savings, certificate of deposit) and/or your Merrill investment accounts (such as Cash Management Accounts, 529 Plans). You can satisfy the combined balance requirement for enrollment with either:

a three-month combined average daily balance in your qualifying deposit and investment accounts, or
a current combined balance, provided that you enroll at the time you open your first eligible personal checking account and satisfy the balance requirement at the end of at least one day within 30 days of opening that account.
