Could building your financial vocabulary help build your confidence?
Before you open any bank account, get to know what key terms mean so you can make the most of it.
For instance, some accounts have a monthly maintenance fee. But if you’re an eligible student enrolled in school, you may qualify for a monthly maintenance fee waiver on certain accounts.

Also, understanding what an "overdraft" is can benefit you in the long run.
An overdraft happens when you spend more money than what is available in your account. With Advantage SafeBalance Banking®, there are no overdraft fees.

Balance alerts
With all accounts, it's a good idea to set balance alerts through your Mobile Banking app so you'll always know where you stand.
It’s also important to know that accepting payments electronically instead of using paperchecks is a faster way to make your money more readily available.

Fiduciary titled accounts, including UTMA / UGMA, do not qualify for the under the age of 18 or the Student waiver.
While this account prevents you from overdrawing in most cases, there may still be times when your account could have a negative balance. This could happen if a transaction is approved for one amount, but the actual charge is more than the amount of money in your account. For
example, when you use your debit card for a meal and then add a tip. In this situation, the full payment may go through and result in a negative balance on your account, but we will not charge you an overdraft fee.
